Booker T. Washington High School is a school that believes in meeting students where they are. Our bar is high, but we also recognize that our students need an innovative and responsive way to learn the material. Here, we deeply value the cultural knowledge they bring to the classroom and work hard to bridge home life and academics.
NEW ORLEANS (August 9, 2019) – This week, KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) celebrated the official name restoration of two of New Orleans’ most iconic high schools, Booker T. Washington High School (BTW) and Frederick A. Douglass High School (FDHS).
Bands from KIPP Renaissance High School, KIPP Booker T. Washington High School, KIPP Central City Academy, and KIPP Leadershipwill roll in a total of 20 parades this year, collectively marching thousands of miles.
